“Chao Phraya for All” is a stepping stone for Thailand to being a “Tourism for All” country. Thai Tourism Minister–Mr.Weerasak Kowsurat, Tourism Authority of Thailand governor–Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Tourism for All team and international wheelchair users surveyed 3 popular tourist destinations along the Chao Phraya river including Tha Maharaj community mall, Yodpiman River Walk and Asiatique the Riverfront. The survey was conducted in order to collect preliminary data concerning Friendly Design-t the design which meets international standards and is friendly for all.
Let’s cooperate to make Bangkok and Thailand a convenient, clean, modern, safe and accessible place for all by providing Friendly Design facilities for everyone especially the elderly, the differently abled, wheelchair users and family with small children. The goal is to make our country more available to these groups of people so that they can travel conveniently, safely and equally making our country being able to compete at an international level.
**Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, is one of the 9 provinces that Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced to be the “Tourism for All” destinations. Tourism for all means that the place is accessible to people of all ages and in all physical conditions so that they can travel conveniently and safely. The aforementioned 9 provinces include Pattaya city in Chon buri, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Phuket, Chiangmai and Bangkok.
